Apple has announced a new iPad with double the storage space of it’s previous fourth generation iPad, which boasts up to 64GB of storage. Apple has launched four different iPads in the past 12 months, leading many to believe that they are launching too many SKUs (stock-keeping unit) of the popular tablet in too short a time.
The new model will be released on Tuesday, February 5, with the WiFi only version priced at £639 and the WiFi and 4G version priced at £739. Philip Schiller, Apple’s marketing chief said:
With more than 120 million iPads sold, it’s clear that customers around the world love their iPads, and everyday they are finding more great reasons to work, learn and play on their iPads rather than their old PCs.
It is rumoured that an official fifth generation iPad will also be released in October alongside a new iPad Mini.
